Back to back for Elliott

Ayden Elliott made it back to back Compact Speedcar Memorial Race events winning Saturday nights feature leading every lap after starting outside front row beside highest point-scorer Mark Heaton.
The final was run on a hard, dry track that had plenty of rubber laid on the race line with the front runners setting some pretty quick times.
Elliott was having a guest drive aboard the Nathan O’Brien owned #21 Stealth/Suzuki GSXR. Wanting to erase the memory of his last main event Elliott got the jump on the Aussie Champ to lead the pack into turn one. Everyone was waiting for the challenge from the champ, his only serious threat came just after a re-start making a run down the back straight around the outside of the leader only to have Elliott keep his cool and hold onto the lead as they exited turn 4.
This was a great win for Elliott and the O’Brien camp leading into round four of the club championships at Valvoline Raceway in a couple of weeks. Mark Heaton had to settle for the runner up spot for the second time after again topping the points.
A super battle ensued for the minor placings with Shaun Robinson claiming third just holding out Brad Rawlings and Mark Shepherd, who was having his first run back in Compacts for a couple of seasons after purchasing the Ex Rod Francis machine. Brad Rawlings was super impressive in his first meeting of the season as well.
Heat wins went by the way of Mark Heaton with wins in heats 1 and 3 and Shaun Robinson winning the second heat.
