Cullen Bullen Speedway played host to the third round of the NSW Compact Speedcar Club championship, unfortunately a small field of Compacts were on hand to enjoy the Speedways hospitality.
The fifteen lap feature ran without a stoppage, and it was Rob Eyeington who came out on top in his Stealth/Suzuki GSXR to comfortably win ahead of Mitch Biner (Beast/Yamaha R1) with Gaby Yammouni third in his Wright/Yamaha R1. Alan Day ran his trusty old Datsun and came in fourth. Steve Zarb made a return in the Alach/Datsun to round out the top five.
Stewart Hendersons night ended early after the welds on the battery cradle broke. There was too much damage to the wiring to make repairs to the Murphy/Suzuki GSXR.
Heat wins went to Mitch Biner X 2 and Rob Eyeington the other.
A fortnight break now before we return to Nowra Speedway on the 14th November for their first meeting of the season. This is expected to be a biggie for the Compacts with up to 20 cars expected. BE THERE!!!
