Can Yenne Make It 2 from 2?

This Saturday night the Compacts return to Goulburn Speedway for round 2 of the NSW Season Pointscore Series with last up feature winner Carl Yenne headlining the entry list.

His performance last meeting caught everyone by surprise, most of all Carl who doesn’t rate Goulburn on his list of preferred race tracks. Making his season debut will be 2012-2013 club champion runner up Craig Hickey who will be out to make up for lost points after missing round 1.

A couple of drivers who had some strong performances at Goulburn last season are Victorian duo, Joe Lostitch and Johnny Kyriacou. Both drivers are eager to get in some laps after the last 2 meetings of their local season were cancelled. Johnny Kyriacou destroyed his car at the 1st round of the Extreme series at Wangarratta, so he will be looking forward to a much better run this time around and Joe Lostitch will be looking forward to the challenge of stealing a win from the locals.

After spending close on 20 years racing with the Litre Sprintcar division Steve Zarb will be making his Compact Speedcar debut. His challenge will be coming to grips with running a car topless. With all those years of experience behind him though it won’t take Steve long to find his way to the front of the pack.

RFS volunteer, Dan Coulstock hasn’t had as much time to spent on his Compact Speedcar of late with his fire fighting duties taking precedent as he and many others of the several emergency services departments fought long and hard in their battle to end the destructive fires that ripped thru large parts of NSW over the past few weeks. Dan is more than eager to finally get his new car onto the track. A huge thank you to Dan and all the volunteers, who risked their lives, for your bravery and expertise during those difficult few weeks.
